Jake 5 months old!

So our little Jake will be 5 months old in just a few days! He is such a great little baby!I dont know why we have been so lucky to have such great kids! Right now he is almost 16 pounds and still growing! He sleeps through the night and is such a happy going kid! He rolls really well from tummy to back and is trying hard to master rolling from back to tummy. He seems like he will be sitting up soon. He is sooooo strong and has great leg control! It is sooooo cute because he watches Josi all day. If he can hear her in the room he will try as hard as he can to see her! He can get laughing harder at her than anybody! The other day we were at walmart and Caleb was holding Josi up to the shopping cart to see Jake and they were just laughing and laughing at each other. It is those moments that make being a mom so rewarding! Josi is such a fantastic big sister who ios always so willing to help her little brother. Just today I layed Jake on the floor and was about to change his diaper and without even asking Josi brought me a diaper and wipes for him. She is always putting his binki in and is always looking out for him. It is so fun to be a mom and I am so grateful to get the chance!

It has been way tooooo long!!!

So it has been way to long since I last posted! Halloween passed, Shelby's wedding, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Halloween was wonderful, Josi was Cinderella! She loved dressing up like one of her favorite princesses. Jake was a skunk and looked so cute and adorable. Josi was so funny, she would have trick or treated all night if i let her. She was shivering and so cold by the end, I finally had to tell her it was time to go home. We spent thanksgiving this year with Caleb's family.. It was fun to spend time with all of his aunts, uncles and cousins. Shelby got married to Brian and they had such a beautiful wedding. Josi was so excited to wear her "wedding dress". She was so funny at the reception, she kept hiding under Shelby's dress. They got some pretty funny pictures of her doing it! Christmas was so fun, we got to have Natalie and Andy (Caleb's little sister and her husband) stay with us for a few days! She announced that she was pregnant and having a little boy! We are so excited for them, she is due in May. Caleb had to work Christmas Eve so the kids and I went to my parents house for dinner and our annual program. Santa made it to our house and Christmas went off with a bang! Josi was so excited that Santa made it to our house, she says she heard him on the roof! :) Caleb is on a little break from school between semesters, he got an A- in his anatomy class and an A in psychology. He was so excited and shocked, every semester he tells me "I don't think I'm gonna pass", and he always ends up with straight A's. Next semester is his last semester of pre-reqs for the nursing program. He is signed up for physiology, and history. He can apply at the end of this next semester and hopefully we start next fall. We planned a family trip to Disney Land in May and we got a week stay at the Anaheim time share from my parents for Christmas! They are so thoughtful, and we cant wait to see Josi in Disneyland! She is sooooo obsessed with anything princess! Jake is getting so big! He loves to drink those bottles and gets all giddy when he See's us about to feed him. He is in the 75% for his weight and that is so funny to me since Josi is dangling to stay on the dang chart! He is such a great baby, he is doing 8 hour nights right now. He wakes up to eat and goes right back down for another 4 hours. Thank heavens that I have been blessed with 2 great kids! Jake is totally smiling and cooing and starting to grab things. He already sounds like a boy, I know that sounds funny, but his cooing is in this little man voice! He had a couple weeks there where I was nervous he was gonna be colicky, but he snapped out of it when we started adding a little formula into his bottles.I love hearing him try to talk to us, we are blessing him this Sunday. Josi is so hilarious, she seriously says and does the funniest things. She loves to take her wands and turn everyone and everything into something else, or fall into a deep sleep only to be awakened by a true loves kiss! She LOVES Jake, she is always telling us how handsome he is and that he is her little brother. She has been busy playing with her new princess barbies and play dough! We took her to see tangled and she didn't budge of the edge of her seat the entire movie. She is such a blessing to our life! I am staying crazy busy with work and my kiddos and my young woman's calling. I am getting pretty burned out of Caleb's night shift, but I have to keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end. I think I just miss our nights as a family, and falling asleep next to someone. I do have to say that I am impressed that I have not been a total wimp about him being gone at nights, because I am a wimp! I always look forward to time off to spend together and try to plan family things to do together. Work keeps me on my toes, it never seems like I can do everyone's hair who wants it done, but I love that I have such a great job! Most of you know how busy our kiddos keep us! I am glad that all my fall shows are coming back on so that I can get a little me time when my kiddos go to bed! I hope you are all doing wonderful, hopefully it wont be so long till I post again! Well I thought I would do an update on our new little guy! We had Jacob Riley Richardson on 10-10-10! He was 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and 20 inches long! Saturday night Caleb and I took Josi out on a date! We took her to chillies and then to Target and came home and watched toy story and ate popcorn! She was so excited to have some special time with mom and dad and we loved it! At 3am I woke up thinking that I had peed my pants, so I went and changed my clothes and it happened again! I was trying to wake up Caleb who was sooooooooooo out of it. He was not registering that I was telling him my water had broke. I got up and looked on line to see if it was my water and it said it might be, I was not convinced and I really didn't want to get sent home so I got in the shower and went back to sleep! That morning I woke up to realize it was defiantly my water! We rushed out of the house and headed to Riverton hospital. We dropped Josi off at my parents and got admitted right in! My doctor was already there delivering babies and so he came in to say hi! He is seriously the best doc ever! They started the pitosin around 10:30 and the pains started coming! I got my epidural but it wasn't working on the left side. The contractions were killing me, but it finally worked a little. Jake was born at 3:27pm with no complications! They were about to move me when they realized I was having some major clotting. They got everything figured out and moved us to our room! Can I just say I love Riverton Hospital, the delivery rooms are huge and the room we stayed in was super nice too! I also loved my labor and delivery nurse Lindsay! She was so cute! We left the hospital Tuesday at 12 and headed home. When we got home Caleb had to hurry and do some homework for his Anatomy class that night. I thought I was going to have a nervous break down because he had to leave that night for class but my Mom came out and helped! He had to go to open lab after and he didn't get home till 12am. He had class the next morning at 7am so the first 2 days home started out rough. We than found out Jake had high Billy Rubin so we had to keep getting him checked. His levels came down on there own, so we thankfully didn't have to do the lights! Also he got a horrible circumcision and it is going to take some extra healing time. So after many visits to the doctor, we woke up to go get his pictures taken. Jake had a horrible smell to him, he smelled like a rotting corpse! We ran him into the pediatrician to find out his belly button was infected. We have him on an antibiotic and his belly button has fallen off and he seems to be doing great now! It seems like things are going to start to mellow out around here finally! I got all caught up on my laundry today and I think I might survive having 2 kids! Josi is absolutely in love with her little brother. She says at least 10 times a day that he is so handsome! She also had a baby, she named her Kenzi! She was pregnant the whole time I was! In fact at the hospital she peed her pants and told my mom her water broke! She is fully potty trained and that's what makes it funnier! She got a baby that came with a stroller and swing and crib! She is quit the little mother! She loves it, and she seems to be adapting great! Jake is sleeping about 3 hour spurts for now, and he LOVES to eat! Good thing he has plenty to eat! I am pumping about 40-60 ounces of milk a day! I know that seems crazy, I agree! I have a high hormone that makes me produce like a machine! Babies are so fun, and it makes me wonder why I deserve 2 perfect little angels! We are all so excited that Jake made his debut finally and we cant wait to get to know him more!

She says the darndest things!

So Josi has been saying the funniest things ever, it seems like everyday I could post something funny that she blurts out! She told me today " Mommy if you could get a little bit smaller you could ride in my barbie car with me!" Also, " Mommy, you have a big nose, and I have a small nose!" She told me this week that she is a busy woman! She really is too, she keeps all of us busy. Caleb and I decided to take her to Chucky Cheese for the first time today. I seriously thought she was going to have a heart attack. She loved it, and kept saying over and over, Thanks... I love Chucky CHEEZIT! She thinks that's his name! I have decided that since I am just not having this baby, that I will take this time and really focus my attention this week on Josi. I am going to do something with her each day. I am all done doing hair until November, and just really trying to enjoy just having my sweet little Josi for a few more days. She is so excited to be a big sister, and is really anxious to feed him a bottle! I hope she does OK , and adjusts good! O ya, she also told my nephew who was picking his nose that prince charming does not pick his nose!

So whats new here? Well I am going crazy over here! I am dialated to a 2 and 70%, that was last week and I go in tomorrow. I am scheduled to induce the 11th of October, but the Doctor says I wont make it. I think that makes it worse. I have been mowing the lawn cleaning like crazy and walking everyday. Im hoping this little baby comes soon, I have my bags packed in my car ready to go! Josi says she is pregnant as well with a baby girl named Kenzi. She has told us that she gets tired while pregnant, and that her water broke! She kills me, I cant stop laughing at her! We love her so much and it is gonna be crazy to have another! She is going to be a great big sister! We will keep ya posted!

We decided to do one more family shoot before this cute little baby comes to our house in 8 weeks! Josi is the light of our lives and she is such a sweet girl!
