Change in Direction!

So Caleb and I are having a little change of plans! He has worked at Fidelity Investments for 5 years this February and he has really enjoyed it for the most part although he keeps feeling like it is not what he wants to do for the next 40 years! He is tied to a phone at a desk, and he feels incomplete. We have this ritual that we go through each week. Monday and Tuesday he works for the man, Wednesday he would like to say he works for me cuz he is off on Wednesdays. Thursday and Friday back to work for the man. Saturday he is off again and Sunday 2, the ritual comes each Sunday night where I get a stomach ache because I know Caleb doesn't love his job and has to wake up at the butt crack off dawn to go to a job he is not in love with! I am not saying I think you should love your job every second because although many of you benefit from my job.... even I get a little sick of doing hair all day! That is just it though, I love my job 95% of the time and I got to pick what I wanted to do. Caleb was not given much of an opportunity to do school because we got married so quickly after his mission and we thought we should do the whole school thing later!!! So that is where I am getting at, Caleb is going back to school to be a nurse! I know it sounds funny and a little like meet the fauckers but its true! He is going to specialize as a nurse anesthetist. That is a nurse for an anesthesiologist. He will continue to work for Fidelity but on a grave yard shift while we do this long process. We are both determined to do it! He is still working on an associates but we figure he should be done by the time Josi is in Kindergarten if he works real hard! I don't know maybe we are nuts but it feels right at the time! I am really excited for you Caleb and want you to know that I love you and wanted to thank you for all you do for our family to provide for us! Starting in January Caleb will be a full time student and Worker! Ahhhhhhh..... We love ya babe!

Wow, that's a big change but good for you guys!! I'm sure there will be lots of hard work for you both in the future, but if he can do what he really wants for a career then it will be worth it! Good luck!!!

What an exciting change of plans! It sounds like it will be a great change though. It will be worth all of the work.

Oh man. This is the story of my life right now (husband working full time and going to school full time too). It STINKS because I never see him ever, but we know that it is worth it in the long run. I once read a quote, "If you will live like no one else, later you can live like no one else!" This is a huge motivation to me because I realize that this time being apart is only temporary and eventually we will be able to reap the rewards of our sacrifice and live better than we expected in the future! Best of luck to you all! Way to take charge of your future.

That is great, you guys :) Being a nurse is really the best, I think (of course, I'm biased), and Caleb will be great at it! :) I think it's awesome that you are so supportive of him :)
