So I am seriously so freaking confused about this swine flu shot.... There is so much talk about it and I swear people who are sick are not staying home and that makes me so frustrated. I just dont get why if you are sick why you need to leave and expose others. I am kinda on a soap box today about this issue! I cannot decide what to do. I guess the fact that I am so confused should help my cause! So I dont know who has had it, who has a strong opinion on the issue? Who else is confused? I dont know... I would just like to say... STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK...please!!!!

A-FREAKIN-MEN!! I get so mad when people go to work when they KNOW they are sick! Or know that their kids have swine flu! Arghhh!!!
So. I'm pro-flu shot..but that is a given since I work in a hospital. I wasn't so sure about the H1N1 vaccine, but then I heard there are high rates of fetal demise in pregnant women who get swine flu, even when they receive treatment..so I buckled & got it.
Best advice for flu-season: WASH. YOUR. HANDS. Oh, & gargling w/ salt water once a day is proven to help, too!

I completly agree with you! That is my biggest pet peave! Stay home when you are sick! It is going around out here soooo bad. They even had to close schools cause of it. I wasn't going to get it with it being so new and all and my nephew who is three got it and he was soooo sick. Tempature of at least 105 for 6 days straight. So it scared me enough that I took my little boy and we got it. We got the nasal mist and we haven't been sick at all. So I can honestly say I'm glad I got it. Hope that helps. :) oh and i forgot to mention that there was two deaths here in Roosevelt, both healthy 30 year old men that died. The next day is when I went and got it. :)
I completely agree! Whether it's swine flu or not, if you are sick then stay home. I work at a Kids Club and you would be amazed at how many kids come in when they are sick. Apparently it's ok for them to stay home from school, but going to the gym is just fine! I think it's a selfish decision for sure. It scares me to go into public with the swine flu.
So Xan and I had the H1N1 after babysitting some kids who came down with it. It was miserable for about 3 days while we were home and then we stayed home an extra 2 days just to make sure we were over it. And now we don't have to get the shot! I don't think I would have gotten the shot anyway...it's too new and too untested. But hopefully it works out fine.
