Scary News

So this last week I went in for an MRI on my brain. I have one once a year because I have a high hormone that causes in most cases B9 tumors on the pituitary gland in your brain. I knew it would be high because nursing increases this hormone and causes the tumor to grow. Well I had been having head aches on one side of my head and other weird things happen like seeing rainbows out of one eye so I went in to have my MRI. Well they found a very small tumor on my pituitary gland. Even though I knew I would get them and that 99.9% of the time that they are harmless I still get very nervous about it. I am getting on some meds to shrink the tumor and possibly a very small dose of radiation. I know it will all be fine, but it is still very scary to ever hear the word tumor. I think it is just one of those words in life we all hope we never get, but I know it is all fine I just had to vent for a minute! I hope you are all doing well! I am getting so excited for spring to come, I love the warmer weather!

Head On Collision!

So I was in my first real big accident and it was so scary. It was friday night and I was in a head on collision. I was driving up the road to my house sr73 and it was clear blue skies outside dry roads except for that road, it had a snow drift that had been blowing and melting in the sun and turned to a sheet of black ice by the time I hit it. I slid right into another car head on and totalled out both cars. It was very scary........ I hope it does not happen to any of you ever. I was one of five accidents that day in a 6 hour period of time! 2 before me and 2 rollovers after me My knee is hurting very bad, and I am pretty sore all over. I am so lucky because I had Josi in her car seat ready to take her with me, and changed my mind last minute and got a baby siter so I could just run my errands. Be careful out there!

I was pretty much beat the next day, we got pizza, made buddy muddys, and watched movies..... O and Ripleys believe it or not! They were so fun to have over and I must say that I just love our little Josi!

She had 4 Pups yesterday that are so cute! She was in labor all day yesterday and finished having them last night at 8:30 pm! She did great! Anyone want a dog!

So we finally got the time to finish Josi's room! I have been bugging poor Caleb about finishing her room for a long time! He built some wood pannels and put a shelf at the top of them! Now all I need is the Vinal Lettering and, curtains but I am still trying to decide what I wantto do! Also I made a rag quilt with the help from my poor neighbor who is a pro at them! She had to fix her sewing machine several times throughout the day! Thanks Jamie!!! I am no suzy homemaker! I am pretty much retarded with the sewing machine!

First Words!

So Josi has said her first words! She actually said it over Thanksgiving!We kept showing her a picture of a horse, and then she said Horse. I am sure that she does not know what she said but she has said it several times since! She also says, whasthat!!! Whats that!!!! Along with DADA all day long and an occasional MAMA when she is crying! I love hearing her say words, she has such a cute voice! She is also pulling herself up on things and I hate it, it makes me nervouse! She still crawls and is a little speed demon!

A week full of FIRSTS!!!

So this week has been a week full of first times for me!!! I think it is so funny how kids are so full of energy and sooooooooooooo curious! So Josi ate dog food this last week! That was so gross and funny all at the same time! The funniest part about it is that she is such a picky little eater but the dog food sure hit the spot for her! Then she pooped in the tub last night! I have not yet experienced that yet in her whole 9 months of life! I guess I am lucky! Then I waxed a mans face! My neighbor wanted his face waxed, I guess I should rephrase that we waxed all under his Chin, parts of his face and the back of his neck all while his wife laughed! He was a good sport, especially being that parts of his face bled a little! What a good sport! Don't worry I will leave you anonymous! What a funny week! Christmas was great, Santa made it to our house! Josi got a highchair, some new toys, but her favorite was a baby given to her by her grandma Richardson! She gives it kisses and sucks on her foot! I hope you all had a great Christmas!

Christmas Shopping!

So I am almost done with my shopping but I cant get myself to venture out in the cold to finish! I am such a baby about the cold! I turn into a hermit in the winter and I just can't go out there! I need some good ideas for a stocking fillers for Caleb and Josi that I can get at Walmart! We did all food storage for Christmas but decided that we would do stockings for each other! Any great ideas that Josi might like she is crawling and still has no teeth at 8 months! I dont know what to get her in hers or Calebs! 1 week left, I better get going! I am sending out cards, they are just a little behind! betsey

Such a sad story

So in my last ward I had the sweetest visiting teacher who was awesome. She had shared with me her struggle to get pregnant. She had one child that she was able to conceive on her own and had been trying for 6 years after to get pregnant. After I had Josi she brought me dinner and she just held her, she wanted a baby so much. Shortly after that she let me know that she had been chosen to be the adoptive parent! She was out of her mind excited and was counting down the days. She finally got him and named him Tallon. I am not sure if you have seen her on the news and on good morning America today, but her son was just taken away from her after raising him from birth for 6 months. He is part Indian and this last Sunday night she was forced to give him back to his tribe. The terrible part is that he will be going into foster care within the Indian Reservation. I can not even tell you how sad I am for this poor family. Here he is in a wonderful home where he is so loved and well taken care of only to be taken out of his schedules and surroundings that he is comfortable and happy, only too be taken and put into foster care. The baby was born addicted to heroin and the parents had to ween him off the drugs. They spent every waking minute with at the hospital, and left only to sleep. I am not sure how this is even legal, but please pray for them. I feel awful. Imagine how you would feel if you couldn't.t stop worrying about your sweet baby, if he is being fed, given naps, and just being hugged and kissed. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers they need it! Make sure to hug and kiss your kids, remember how lucky you are to have them!

Merry Christmas!!!

Well here is my christmas tree that Josi keeps crawling over to! She is really booking it all over the house these days! Yesterday she was crawling everywhere while I cooked dinner and she is doing the funniest thing, she will dance and bob her head at us! She is going to have one funny personality! Of course today she is sleeping in, it is now 8:30 and I woke up at 6am to so my moms hair and she chooses a day when I get up early to sleep in! Thats ok! She has not moved an inch from where I put her last night for bed! She is a tired girl! Who knows she might be finally growing now that she is 8 months old and 13 whole pounds! I hope everyone is excited for Christmas, I have had fun getting a few things for the baby! Well she just woke up, gotta go! betsey
